Soy milk, or tonyu, is a traditional favourite for its mild, umami, and slighty nutty flavour, making it the ideal base for almost any type of shabu-shabu ingredient, be it vegetables, mushrooms, meats or seafood. Low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals, it does not contain artificial dyes or food colouring to achieve its sweet pink colour.
